Melissa is not only such a talented photographer she is so kind and thoughtful. She captured the most amazing newborn photos (our first baby so these mean a lot) and created a seamless process from booking to the time we actually spent at the studio. Melissa went above and beyond and took total control of the baby the minute we got there, rocking him to sleep and making sure the baby was in the perfect positions (adults included). If you have a dog I also highly recommend bringing them – she is a dog whisperer!!!
My wife and I brought our newborn to Magenta by Melissa when he was about 4 and a half weeks old. We were greeted by Melissa and her assistant Danielle as soon as we walked in. They told us to take a seat and relax on the couch and that they would let us know when it’s time for family photos. They held, fed, burped, and even changed our baby and are such warm and caring people. When we reviewed our unedited photos online, we had difficulty deciding which ones to pick! Melissa has an excellent eye for perfect angles and how to capture the ideal candid photos. We highly recommend them when you are considering hiring a photographer for your family.
My family and I had a wonderful experience with Melissa during our spring mini session in central park. She did my son’s newborn shoot last year and I knew i wanted her to capture some new family memories under the cherry blossom trees. She was very kind and patient with my baby and she was able to calm my son down even though he was crying hysterically for a while.
